Job Description

Seeking an experienced Draftsman/CAD Operator for a short-term project in Qatar to prepare precise construction and As-Built drawings using AutoCAD and support engineers with surveys and quantity calculations. Responsibilities include maintaining project files, manuals, and maintenance logs, and preparing progress reports while ensuring compliance with QU safety and security guidelines. Requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering with AutoCAD training, 5+ years of drafting or construction experience, strong English skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Nature and Scope of Position / Responsibilities:

Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD. Prepare As-Built drawings, maintain manuals/warranty certificates. Assist engineers in surveying, setting out, quantity calculations. Maintain detailed project files and ensure updated copies of "As Built" drawings are submitted to Archives and Mail unit. Keep records of all maintenance tasks received through QU representative engineers, complaints, and preventive maintenance tasks. Prepare reports on maintenance work detailing progress, backlog, service levels, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations. Ensure QU's security and safety guidelines are followed and assist in preparing reports for any incidents. Maintain confidentiality of information at all times. Perform other job duties as necessary and as directed by operations & maintenance Engineers of QU.

Experience and Education:

Diploma in Civil Engineering (minimum 2 years academic + AutoCAD course). Minimum of 5 years of construction project and/or CAD drafting experience. Fluency in writing, reading and speaking English language is mandatory. Excellency in computer skills including MS Word and Excel, Internet browsing/searching, data transferring, making reports with good formatting ... etc. Locally Available in Qatar with valid visa and QID
