for a short-term project in Qatar. The candidate will prepare precise construction and As-Built drawings using AutoCAD and support engineers with surveys and quantity calculations. Responsibilities include maintaining project files, manuals, and maintenance logs, preparing progress reports, and ensuring compliance with QU safety and security guidelines.
Nature and Scope of Position / Responsibilities
Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD.
Prepare As-Built drawings and maintain manuals/warranty certificates.
Assist engineers with surveying, setting out, and quantity calculations.
Maintain detailed project files and ensure updated copies of As-Built drawings are submitted to the Archives and Mail unit.
Keep records of all maintenance tasks received through QU representative engineers, complaints, and preventive maintenance activities.
Prepare reports on maintenance work detailing progress, backlog, service levels, adverse trends, and recommendations.
Ensure QU's security and safety guidelines are followed and assist in preparing incident reports.
Maintain confidentiality of information at all times.
Perform other duties as necessary and as directed by Operations & Maintenance Engineers of QU.
Experience and Education and Skills
Diploma in Civil Engineering (minimum 2 years academic + AutoCAD course).
Minimum of
5 years' experience
in
construction projects and/or CAD drafting.
Fluency in English (writing, reading, and speaking) is mandatory.
Strong computer skills, including MS Word and Excel, internet research, data management, and report preparation with good formatting.
Willing to work full-time on a 2-month project assignment.
Locally available in Qatar with a valid visa and QID.
