Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed technical shop drawings, fabrication drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and layouts for aluminum works such as curtain walls, doors, windows, facades, and cladding systems using AutoCAD. Translate architectural and structural drawings into accurate, functional, and production-ready drawings. Prepare and manage aluminum cutting lists, material take-offs (MTO), and material request sheets (MRS) for fabrication and production. Review tender, architectural, and structural drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Revise and update drawings based on consultant, client, or site comments, ensuring proper revision control. Apply technical knowledge of aluminum profiles and systems (e.g., Technal, Reynaers, Gulf Extrusions). Coordinate closely with project managers, production teams, and site engineers to ensure accurate fabrication and installation. Ensure timely submission of shop drawings for approval in line with project schedules. Maintain accuracy in measurements, calculations, and detailing to minimize fabrication and installation errors.

Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field. Minimum

2-3 years

of experience as a Draftsman, preferably in aluminum, facade, metals, or manufacturing industries. Strong proficiency in

AutoCAD

(mandatory); experience with 3D design software is an advantage. Solid knowledge of aluminum fabrication, facade engineering, or curtain wall detailing. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, structural details, and technical specifications. High attention to detail with strong accuracy in drafting and measurements. Ability to manage multiple drawings and revisions efficiently. Good coordination and communication skills to work with internal teams and site staff. Knowledge of Qatar construction standards and practices is an advantage. Open to local or overseas candidates; open nationality.
