Director, Total Rewards, Middle East & Africa
Role Summary
Reporting to the Vice President Total Reward this role will lead total reward activities for the Middle East and Africa region of SNC-Lavalin. The incumbent will be based in the middle east and will manage one regional reward colleague. The incumbent will work closely with global reward colleagues as well as the HR teams in the region.
We have a Total Reward Global Programmes team who manage global activities e.g. annual merit and bonus reviews, recognition and wellbeing programmes and provide data analytical support for the on-shore regional reward teams. The incumbent is expected to act as the interface with the Total Reward Global Programmes team to ensure global compensation programmes are successfully delivered within region.
Role Accountabilities
Understand regional business talent strategy, execution plans and challenges
Provide subject matter advice, consultancy & education to HR and business leaders to:\xe2\x80\x8b
maximise the impact of corporate total reward frameworks
evaluate local requirements and develop local market total reward solutions \xe2\x80\x8b
Provide market practice and data insights to influence business decisions & strategy
Participate as Total Reward SME on Region HR leadership team\xe2\x80\x8b
Establish and manage Region Total Rewards governance structures
Build trusted relationships with Region Leadership, HR & Finance & other stakeholders\xe2\x80\x8b
Manage local Total Rewards plans, programmes & vendors\xe2\x80\x8b
Direct the delivery of corporate Total Rewards programmes in Region\xe2\x80\x8b
Management of in-region reward personnel
Skills & Attributes
Demonstrable experience in a Reward lead role within the Middle East: particularly Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates
Strong commercial understanding and the ability to build a compelling business case
A great communicator with strong networking, presentation and influencing capability
Diagnostic and analytical skills and an ability to use story-telling to present compelling data driven propositions to HR and the business
Digitally savvy with a strong understanding of HR and reward systems (Workday experience preferred)
A process-oriented mindset and a desire to drive continuous improvement
Proven project management capability
A solid understanding of global and regional reward programmes and reward governance frameworks
Experience of working with, managing and leveraging global and regional reward vendors
Demonstrable resilience with the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously in a fast-changing environment.
Educated to degree level; CIPD and/or reward qualifications would be advantageous.
