Job Description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
Lead and drive a sustainable and profitable DTC channel growth, driving a seamless consumer experience through the definition/implementation of operating models, tools and training that increase productivity, profitability, decrease complexity and ensure corporate compliance at field level.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the MENA DTC Retail Operational Excellence strategy and implementation in alignment with key EM initiatives and EM Cluster business models.
  • Responsible for the achievement of the MENA targeted KPIs for net sales and profitability, by executing Retail relevant processes to drive productivity and profitability at field level.
  • Main point-of-contact to EM for all DTC Operations projects and initiatives.
  • Driving projects aligned with EM DTC Excellence and ensuring consistent cascading across the assigned countries.
  • Be the subject matter expert for “House of Retail” operating framework in MENA.
  • Consolidation of Global/EM tools and proposing new improvement initiatives along with country DTC teams, targeting country specific opportunities for MENA.
  • Facilitate MENA pilots/initiatives on enhancing digital consumer experience in stores, to provide a truly consistent consumer experience within MENA countries.
  • Deliver a harmonized way of working and consumer centric strategy across MENA countries by sharing and implementing best practices.
  • Create and drive a high-performance culture by:
    • Evaluating the competencies of team members on a regular basis; providing prompt feedback and guidance to drive high performance
    • Taking ownership for Talent Management processes to grow, develop and retain talents
    • Translating company goals in team-specific actions and business plans. Control and monitor performance and results
  • Influence and drive cross-functional collaboration to facilitate the development of Retail via premium presentation, consumer service excellence and insight-driven decision making.
  • Alignment with Internal Control and Internal Audit on compliance related topics, communicating and tracking performance of MENA countries accordingly.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong team builder, comfortable working in a matrix organization, across borders working with a diverse and international group of highly skilled leaders and experts
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership; lead, motivate, and develop high performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills including impactful presentation skills, influencing & negotiating, business partnering and change management
  • Advanced user of MS Office suite of products
  • Proven project management experience in large scale initiatives
  • Fluent in English
  • Additional languages are an advantage
  • Remote management experience

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • University degree in business, ideally with Retail focus or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced level understanding of Retail operations. Logistics/merchandising/finance exposure desired.
  • 10 years’ experience in large international Franchise and/or Retail operations, ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes.
  • Minimum of five years in a senior management/head of department role or equivalent level
