Our client is a leading travel company in Saudi Arabia, and they are looking for a Director of Solution Architecture to join their team in UAE.

The Director of Solution Architecture will be working with a team of software engineers and product management professionals to oversee the company\'s architecture models and delivery/operations.

Responsibilities

• Improve current technology infrastructure and architecture.
• Optimize business operations for efficiency with an emphasis on knowledge sharing among partners.
• Align technology needs with the strategic direction of the business and product.
• Analyze gaps in technology architecture and translate them into opportunities, and work with the different engineering teams to achieve them.
• Oversee front-end, back-end and mobile development teams and their projects.
• Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements.
• Define the organization\'s processes for compliance, vitality, exceptions, communications, and change management.
• Define technology architecture principles to provide guidance to the technology architecture.
• Design organization\'s architecture governance for both business and technology needs.
• Determine business expectations and needs.
• Develop architecture management framework, models, and blueprints, to guide in the design and deployment of solution architecture.
• Direct the quality management of multiple projects.
• Research and identify current and future technology services and industry standards and technology architecture viewpoints to address stakeholders\' concerns.
• Select and use tools and repositories to collect and manage architecture information and artifacts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Work experience as a director of engineering or in a similar senior-level position at an engineering department.
• Work experience in digital products and e-commerce platforms.
• Extensive experience with cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces.
• Hands-on experience in back-end and front-end development.
• Good understanding of agile methodologies.
• Leadership abilities with a strategic mind.
• Excellent business and product understanding.
• BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field
