The Building Segments is one of the 8 global sector teams at Schneider Electric and drives c. ~\xe2\x82\xac2bn of annual orders. The Sector teams contribute to the Group\xe2\x80\x99s agenda on superior growth, with a specific focus on digital, software, services and sustainability.

Description of the role & responsibilities of the IOT Solution Specialist:

The Segment Solution Consultant role is a new role, with a specific intent to focus on the IT/OT convergence in the commercial Building sector.

The role functionally reports into the Real Estate practice but has the mandate to focus on all opportunities involving complex IT/OT architectures across all Building Segments, with a particular emphasis on Real Estate and Retail sectors, where those opportunities are most prevalent.

The Segment Solution Specialist will be the catalyst and champion of innovation on IT/OT convergence and will be responsible for influencing and supporting strategic customers in the digitalization of their buildings\xe2\x80\x99 portfolio. They will be responsible to lead customer workshops to uncover and capture the customers use cases, lead the definition of the IT/OT reference architecture to be proposed (involving data strategy, integration and interoperability requirements and the application of Analytics) and provide and explain the business value of the solution to meet the customer expectations.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

• Win business with strategic customers by developing relationships on digital transformation:

o Be accountable for the perception by the Segment customers that Schneider Electric is a visionary and value-oriented company.
o Become the trusted advisor in the minds of our strategic customers on digital transformation through IT-OT convergence.
o Position our value proposition on digital leveraging the various data platforms, application software and analytics available within the Schneider Electric portfolio.
o Support in complex deals and lead conceptual design of technical solutions, using an architecture approach (as opposed to a product approach); Lead technical workshops with customers.
o Work with account managers to engage directly with customers for pilots, prescription, customer feedback, and supporting the sales process on digital solutions.
o Work with other Subject Matter Experts across Schneider Electric to bring the right technical support to customer projects.

• Define IT-OT convergence architectures in commercial buildings:

o Development of IT-OT architectures based on the deep understanding of customer use cases and project specifications.
o Design clear architectures responding to current and future customer needs.
o Turn customer projects into Documented reference architectures and engineering standards that can be reused and author the supporting technical documents.

• Generate new business through team support, expertise & innovation:

o Identification and development of emerging solutions and client pipelines, by identifying key business problems, analyzing client issues within it, and providing recommendations to the Director of Solution Architecture and Segment Team Leaders.
o Enable the account managers to win business by coaching them on solutions and supporting their sales pursuits; Help the team navigate an increasingly complex software environment in Building operations.
o Propose investment in platforms, product lines, M&A and/or strategic software partnerships from an architecture standpoint.
o Recurringly test, deploy and service new ideas with clients. Support industrialization and commercialization of the best profitable ideas on reference architectures.

Requirements for the role:

• Customer centric mindset: excellent customer relationship skills. Ability to create relationships quickly across customers\xe2\x80\x99 organizations.
• Practical experience working in a Software environment, with experience in deploying complex software solutions with a wide range of integrations.
• Good knowledge of RESTful standards and web API\'s (REST, WS-*, JSON, SOAP, XML, JDBC, AMPQ).
• Good knowledge in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google).
• Good understanding of networks and network design.
• Knowledge of Enterprise security (IPSec, SSL/TLS, firewalls, certificates, key management).
• Experience in the development and influence of specifications to embed software in project requirements.
• Strong capacity to foster collaboration & networking, and work transversally across the organization.
• Structured way of working; Good attention to detail.
• Confident speaker able to lead technical workshops with customers.
• International, multi-cultural mind-set and approach.

Qualifications:

o 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in complex software deployments.
o 2 + years of experience in Smart Building or IoT or MSI projects.
o good knowledge and practical experience in building automation and energy management systems, enterprise systems and systems integration.
o No experience at direct people management is required.

• Market: experience with the commercial building sector is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Sciences is a plus.
• Languages: Fluency in spoken and written English; Any other language is a plus.
• Other: excellent MS PowerPoint and Excel skills, and presentation writing skills.
• Travel: In a regular year, this position would travel at least once a quarter.
