Job Summary

To develop, manage and drive the Learning & Development strategy to strengthen people and organisational capabilities and performance to ensure that Atlantis, Dubai is the Employer of Choice.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Training

• Develop, plan and manage the Learning function and the training resources for Atlantis The Palm and Atlantis The Royal.
• Administer an annual Training Needs Analysis and to plan the required programs accordingly.
• Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
• Liaise with external institutions and organizations for appropriate external programs that Colleagues will be nominated for and administer the total process.
• Plan, design and facilitate the delivery of the following of Kerzner & Atlantis Brand programs; Onboarding & Orientation; Core Modules; Leadership Modules; Performance Management.

Departmental Training

• Develop and ensure a pool of departmental trainers is available to conduct regular and consistent departmental training to fulfill the needs of all operational departments.
• Ensure that the yearly KPI for on the job training hours is achieved
• Ensure that departmental trainers are engaged and developed and expected standards of on the job training are maintained.

Colleague Development

• Evaluate individual and organizational development needs
• Oversee the Atlantis Career development program ensuring all colleagues have developmental plans
• Facilitate learning interventions such as coaching, job-shadowing, online training
• Assess the success of development plans and help colleagues make the most of learning opportunities
• Help managers develop their colleagues through career pathing
• Driving a culture of continuous professional development (CPD)
• Monitor how effectively learning has been transferred to colleagues

Guest Experience

• Stay up to date with the Guest satisfaction scores are through Review Pro, IFH and Forbes travel guide and ensure any training gaps are addressed and appropriate solutions implemented
• Assist departments with training and other initiatives to ensure that Atlantis The Palm achieves Forbes 4 stars and Atlantis the Royal achieves Forbes 5 stars.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• University degree in HR or Business
• CIPD qualification in Learning & Development (Highly desirable)
• Qualification in Coaching
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in L&D within Hospitality Industry
• Experience in Instructional design and psychometric testing (Highly desirable)
• Experience in implementing LMS (preferred)
• Preopening Hotel experience (Preferred)
• Ability to lead highly effective teams
