Job Description

The Head of Enterprise IT is responsible for the delivery of all IT services aligned with the business goals. This senior role is responsible for business-aligned IT project delivery and ensuring smooth operations of the group\xe2\x80\x99s IT systems. A senior technology leadership role reporting to the Group CIO, they are responsible for overseeing multiple functions within the internal IT department, including demand management, delivery, quality assurance, IT operations, and application support. This role involves managing a diverse team of IT professionals, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of IT services, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Enterprise IT Manager will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs, develop IT strategies, and implement solutions that support the organization\'s objectives and enhance operational efficiency.

\xc2\xa7 Lead and manage the demand management process, working closely with business units to understand their technology needs, prioritize requests, and align IT resources accordingly.

\xc2\xa7 Oversee the delivery of IT projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide guidance and support to project managers and teams throughout the project lifecycle.

\xc2\xa7 Develop and implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT solutions, including conducting regular audits and assessments.

\xc2\xa7 Manage IT operations, including infrastructure, systems, and network management, to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT services.

\xc2\xa7 Lead and supervise the application support team, ensuring timely resolution of application-related issues and effective incident management.

\xc2\xa7 Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and implement IT policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs) that align with organizational objectives and industry best practices.

\xc2\xa7 Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, driving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization.

\xc2\xa7 Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business units, executive management, and other IT teams, to ensure alignment, effective communication, and customer satisfaction.

\xc2\xa7 Develop and manage the IT budget, track expenses, and report on financial performance to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost optimization.

\xc2\xa7 Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in enterprise IT management, and provide recommendations for leveraging new technologies to drive business value.

Team Leadership

\xc2\xa7 Leads formal, multilevel direct-report teams and informal cross-functional teams.

\xc2\xa7 Gains members\' input and sets the team\'s vision, goals and strategic plan.

\xc2\xa7 Inspires and motivates the team through painting the vision of IT and its strategic intent.

\xc2\xa7 Allocates functional roles, levels of accountabilities and strategic assignments.

\xc2\xa7 Coaches, mentors and trains new and existing team members in political, organizational, industry/business, behavioral and technical skills.

\xc2\xa7 Leads team strategy and planning meetings, conferences, and organization wide meetings.

\xc2\xa7 Checks for morale, personal concerns, and work or relationship problems within and among teams.

\xc2\xa7 Decides on solutions, based on teams\' or business partners\' input.

\xc2\xa7 Represents the team to internal and external business leaders.

\xc2\xa7 Sets, monitors, provides and reinforces overall team performance feedback, including performance improvement and decisions/approvals with respect to rewards, redeployment and termination.

Strategic Management

\xc2\xa7 Recommends long-term, best-in-class architecture/technology that will provide enhanced support across the enterprise.

\xc2\xa7 Sponsors, coordinates and approves the enterprise strategic technology plan.

\xc2\xa7 Balances the need for enterprise-level technology strategy with business-level and geographical flexibility and level of responsiveness.

\xc2\xa7 Allocates and aligns resources to meet plan objectives.

\xc2\xa7 Partners with senior enterprise leaders to integrate the strategic technology plan with the enterprise\'s long-term plans.

Budget and Cost Management

\xc2\xa7 Provide budget of the management department and planning.

\xc2\xa7 Provide Budget Control on IT services and Projects.

\xc2\xa7 Provide technical and project direction on major acquisitions.

\xc2\xa7 Manage suppliers to assure cost efficient and high-quality support.

\xc2\xa7 Optimize the cost of resources

Strategy development

\xc2\xa7 Contribute to strategic direction and vision for the Group IT, especially from applications management perspective.

\xc2\xa7 Ensure that the goals for cost, value and risk management are achieved.

\xc2\xa7 Strategize, develop and maintain the application strategy and planning for core applications, individual business units and cross-enterprise processes.

Building AWR Brand

\xc2\xa7 Publish articles, white papers, etc. in AWR and public journals/media

\xc2\xa7 Represent AWR in public events and forums

\xc2\xa7 Attend and/or contribute in partnership days and events from principal companies (Oracle etc.)

Communication

\xc2\xa7 Manage project and portfolio communication with internal and business stakeholders

\xc2\xa7 Advise the team on the right communication methods and help them develop appropriate communication skills

Knowledge Management

\xc2\xa7 Transfer the knowledge by sharing the documents and training the application management team.

\xc2\xa7 Provides guidance, technical leadership, and training to less experienced staff.

\xc2\xa7 Pursue and Complete professional courses and certifications

Policies and Procedure

\xc2\xa7 Adapt methodologies, technologies and practices to incorporate the change

\xc2\xa7 Develops and implements application standards, procedures and guidelines.

\xc2\xa7 Implementing processes that facilitate and enhance internal communications, reporting and high productivity

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

\xc2\xa7 Masters degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

\xc2\xa7 CGEIT, COBIT, PMP, PgMP, Agile Certifications.
