The Director, Digital Transformation & Innovation will play a key role in implementing Arcera's digital strategy, driving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making across regions and functions. This role will focus on executing digital initiatives, enhancing collaboration across decentralised and disparate systems, and embedding AI and data management practices to strengthen business performance and innovation.





The Director will partner with business and technology teams to translate strategic digital priorities into actionable projects that create measurable value, support scalability, and enhance competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Strategy Implementation + Design and translate the Group Digital, Data Management and AI strategy into executable regional and functional initiatives.
+ Work with business teams across functions and regions to articulate their digital priorities and establish their roadmap in line with the digital strategy.
+ Support the rollout and adoption of digital platforms and tools across disparate IT and data systems, ensuring interoperability and business continuity.
+ Lead implementation of digital programs that enhance automation, analytics capability, and data quality.
+ Partner with the central Digital & Innovation team to ensure initiatives align with the overall business strategy and digital roadmap.
+ Connect with the ELT and the Investors' Digital Center of Excellence to build and articulate the digital strategy and roadmap in conjunction with the business strategy and vision.
Innovation and Value Creation + Manage end-to-end delivery of digital transformation and innovation projects, ensuring tangible value creation and measurable business outcomes.
+ Identify opportunities to streamline processes through data integration, AI adoption, and technology enablement.
+ Support due diligence and integration activities in M&A or business expansion projects from a digitalization perspective.
+ Drive change management and stakeholder alignment to secure engagement and adoption of new tools and technologies.
Data and AI Enablement + Oversee implementation of data management practices, ensuring data integrity, governance, and accessibility across systems.
+ Collaborate with analytics and IT teams to enable AI-driven insights, automation, and predictive decision support.
+ Promote the use of structured and unstructured data to improve process efficiency and customer experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration + Work closely with Operations, Finance, Procurement, Sales & Marketing, and IT teams to ensure consistent deployment and integration of digital initiatives.
+ Provide expertise and tools to support the leadership teams in structuring and managing the digital initiatives - for initiatives run by the functions/regions.
+ Build relationships with regional and functional leads to align technology solutions with business needs and capabilities.
+ Support contract and vendor management related to digital and innovation projects, ensuring compliance, value delivery, and risk mitigation.
Project Management & Reporting + Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines for assigned initiatives.
+ Monitor progress against KPIs, track value realization, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
+ Prepare concise reports and presentations for senior management summarizing status, impact, and recommendations.
Team Leadership and Capability Building + Provide day-to-day direction and guidance to project teams and functional contributors.
+ Mentor and coach staff to build digital literacy, data management, and AI implementation capabilities across functions.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, AI, Computer Science/ Engineering or related field; complemented with advanced degree (MBA, MSc). 7-10 years of experience leading digital transformation and implementation projects in complex, multi-country or decentralised environments. Pharma experience is not mandatory, but previous experience must be in equally highly regulated environments. Proven track record in digital strategy execution, systems integration, data management, and AI-enabled process improvement. Experience managing disparate systems and platforms across functions or geographies. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to drive delivery, manage change, and embed new technologies into business processes.
