Position Overview
ADNOC Drilling OFS is seeking a Directional Drilling Engineer to implement directional drilling and Measurement/Logging While Drilling (MWD/LWD) operations at the wellsite. This role includes supervising junior engineers, providing technical guidance to customers and third parties, resolving drilling challenges, and maintaining ADNOC's leadership in oilfield services. The position combines field expertise with project leadership and strong customer engagement.

What You'll Do

• Lead and supervise junior field engineers on day-to-day wellsite operations
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to customers and third-party colleagues on-site
• Manage MWD/LWD operations and directional drilling activities, ensuring service quality and HSE compliance
• Monitor and analyze field data to resolve operational issues of moderate complexity
• Act as a project leader at the wellsite, mentoring staff and ensuring objectives are met
• Conduct wellsite surveys, interpret data, and make operational judgments
• Maintain communication with ADNOC operations management and clients to ensure project success
• Recognize and maintain the operational status of field equipment and tools
• Implement ADNOC's standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with HSE and legal frameworks

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in directional drilling and MWD/LWD operations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities in English (spoken and written)
• Computer literacy with ability to monitor multiple systems and prepare reports
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Commitment to ADNOC's HSE standards and operational excellence
