Job Description

Assisting (not training) Technician Mechanics in performing technical activities.

Diagnoses, repairs to specifications in line manufacturers standards and replace vehicle components - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.

Checking for problems in newer vehicles with testing equipment connected to the vehicle's electronic control unit (ECU).

Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, which may include Employees and Customers on an as-required basis.

Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.

Testing existing and repaired systems.

Determine the amount of work needed on the vehicle and communicate to the Service Advisor.

Liaison with Manufacturers and Parts Advisors.

May also be responsible for quality and road test.

Identify any additional repairs which was not specified in the job card and communicate to the Service Advisor.

Assist for the maintenance of equipments in the workshop.

Provide assistance to the workers in case any difficulties occur while performing their jobs.

Maintains an organized and neat bay.

Report to the Service Manager any technical problems occurs.

Perform other duties as requested by the Service Manager/Workshop Manager.
