Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Install ductile iron pipes and fittings according to project specifications and approved drawings. Cut, bevel, align, and join DI pipes using mechanical joints, flanged joints, or push-on joints. Read and interpret construction drawings, pipe layouts, and manufacturer instructions. Conduct leak tests and ensure all joints are properly sealed and supported. Perform pressure testing and commissioning of installed pipelines. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards at all times. Assist in trench preparation and backfilling activities as required. Report any non-conformities, hazards, or incidents to the supervisor. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in DI pipe installation in infrastructure or utility projects. Strong knowledge of DI pipe specifications, jointing methods, and pipe handling.
