We are looking for a technically strong, creative, and highly driven IT Developer to support the ongoing enhancement and stability of

Shypv

, our shipping logistics web application. The system is built with a

React.js frontend

and

Spring Boot backend

, hosted on

AWS

. The role focuses on continuous development, performance improvements, integrations, and production stability.

Core Responsibilities

1. Integration Work

Connect the Shypv platform with

Timexpress Locus

, similar to its current integration with

Careem Locus

. Shypv functions as an

order booking platform

, Timexpress is the

courier network

, and Locus provides

route planning and optimization

.

2. Global Pricing & Booking Enhancements

Develop international pricing and booking capabilities to support worldwide shipping operations.

3. AWB (Air Waybill) Modifications

Update and adjust AWB formats to align with new operational or client requirements.

4. AWS Migration & Maintenance

Lead the migration of existing AWS servers to a

UAE-based AWS environment

. Ensure continuous monitoring and maintenance of AWS infrastructure. Address any memory leaks, performance issues, or inefficiencies proactively.

5. Bug Fixing & Code Optimization

Identify and resolve backend bugs within the production environment. Clean up unused API calls and outdated code without affecting live functionalities. Optimize the codebase to maintain high performance and system reliability.

6. Storage & Resource Improvements

Implement strategies to free up space and manage backend resources efficiently.

7. Testing Activities

Introduce unit testing or integration testing wherever needed (current approach is manual testing).

8. Caching & Queue Management

Evaluate AWS-based alternatives to Redis, especially for managing the email queue system.

Additional Duties

Handle overall management of AWS accounts and hosted websites (Shypv & Timexpress). Renew and maintain

SSL/TLS certificates

to ensure secure operations. Support the frontend team with API-related tasks and backend technical requirements.

Required Skills

Strong experience with

AWS services

and cloud management. Advanced proficiency in

Spring Boot

for backend development. Skilled in

JavaScript

for backend logic. Experience in

API development

and integrating third-party tools.
