We are looking for a technically minded, creative, and ambitious IT Developer to support the improvement, maintenance, and development of the

Shypv shipping logistics platform

, a web application built with a React.js frontend and a Spring Boot backend, hosted on AWS. The role focuses on ongoing development, system performance enhancement, and ensuring overall platform stability.

Main Tasks1. Integration with Timexpress Service

Integrate Shypv with the

Timexpress Locus

instance Shypv is currently integrated with

Careem Locus

; similar integration is required with Timexpress Shypv

- order booking platform

Timexpress

- courier service

Locus - route optimization and planning software2. International Pricing & Booking

Implement international pricing and booking features to support global shipping.

3. AWB Format Updates

Make the required changes to the Air Waybill format as per updated operational needs.

4. AWS Server Migration

Migrate existing AWS servers to

UAE-based AWS

for better performance and compliance.

Additional TasksBug Resolution

Identify and resolve backend-related bugs found in production.

Infrastructure Maintenance

Monitor and maintain the health and performance of AWS infrastructure. Identify and address memory leaks or inefficiencies.

Code Cleanup

Remove unused code and API calls without affecting existing features. Optimize the codebase for better performance.

Resource Management

Manage server resources and implement cleanup strategies to optimize storage usage.

Testing

Implement unit or integration testing when required. Current testing process is manual.

Redis Cache Alternatives

Explore AWS-based alternatives for Redis cache, particularly for email queue functionality.

Additional Responsibilities

Manage and maintain AWS accounts and hosted websites (Shypv, Timexpress). Handle

SSL/TLS renewals

for secure connections. Support frontend developers with API integration and backend-related requirements.
