Job Title: Detail Draftsman - Architecture, Interior & Landscape Design

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Detail Draftsman to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate and comprehensive technical drawings and shop drawings for architectural, interior, and landscape projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, precision, and an excellent understanding of design intent to ensure seamless execution from concept to construction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting & Documentation

Prepare detailed architectural, interior, and landscape technical drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software. Develop shop drawings, joinery details, and construction details in accordance with design intent and industry standards. Ensure all drawings are accurate, coordinated, and compliant with local regulations, codes, and project specifications. Update and revise drawings as required throughout the design and construction process.
2. Coordination & Collaboration

Work closely with architects, interior designers, landscape designers, and engineers to ensure all drawings align with the overall project vision. Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and consultants to incorporate accurate product details and technical requirements. Ensure consistency between architectural, MEP, structural, and landscape drawings.
3. Quality & Compliance

Review drawings to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions. Maintain and organize drawing sets and documentation for easy access and reference. Adhere to company CAD standards and ensure proper file management.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, or related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional drafting experience in architecture, interior, and landscape design firms. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other drafting software. Strong understanding of construction detailing, joinery, material specifications, and finishing techniques. Familiarity with local building codes, municipal regulations, and authority submission requirements. Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Attributes

Experience working on high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. Knowledge of 3D visualization software such as Revit, 3ds Max, or Rhino. Exposure to sustainable design and green building concepts.
