Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of interior architecture and design projects. This role bridges design vision and technical execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interior architecture, leadership capabilities, and exceptional project management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the full project lifecycle from conceptual design through construction and project close-out. Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal design teams to develop and execute interior architectural projects. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, identifying and mitigating potential risks. Oversee preparation of design presentations, drawings, specifications, and documentation. Ensure all designs comply with building codes, regulations, and client expectations. Mentor and guide junior staff and project teams; assign tasks and review work for quality and accuracy. Coordinate with external consultants including MEP, structural, lighting, and acoustical engineers. Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration activities. Lead value engineering, RFI responses, submittal reviews, and punch list processes. Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field. 8+ years of professional experience in interior design and architecture, with at least 3 years in a senior or project management role. Proven experience managing high-end commercial, hospitality, corporate, or residential interior projects. Licensed Architect or Interior Designer (preferred but not mandatory). Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and MS Project or similar tools. Strong knowledge of local building codes, ADA, and permitting processes. PMP certification (preferred but not required).

Role Overview:

Senior Project Manager - Interior and Architecture

plays a pivotal leadership role in delivering high-quality design projects from concept through completion. This individual serves as the key liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and the internal design team, ensuring that all project components align with the client's vision, budget, and schedule.

Core Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

Direct the planning, coordination, and execution of complex interior architecture projects.

Team Management:

Lead multidisciplinary teams including architects, interior designers, and consultants; provide guidance and mentorship.

Client Relations:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

Design Oversight:

Review and contribute to conceptual and technical design development; uphold design integrity and functionality.

Budget & Schedule Management:

Develop and monitor project budgets and timelines; ensure delivery within agreed parameters.

Quality Control:

Maintain high standards in design documentation, construction administration, and project deliverables.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure projects comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and sustainability goals.

Risk Mitigation:

Identify project risks early and implement strategic solutions.

Key Focus Areas:

Interior architectural design for commercial, hospitality, workplace, or high-end residential sectors. Integration of architectural and interior elements to create cohesive, innovative spaces. Leading projects through all phases - from schematic design to construction and occupancy. Coordinating with consultants across disciplines (MEP, structural, lighting, etc.). Supporting business development by contributing to proposals, RFPs, and client pitches (as needed).
