Job Summary:

The Operation and Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of equipment and systems. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Collaborate with other team members to improve equipment reliability and performance. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Provide technical support and training to other staff members as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred. Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
