Our Creation and Design centre is growing! In our Creation and Design centre based in Dubai, Designers are implementing vale added ingredients and flavors in food and beverage products and design new concepts. For IFF Creation and Design team in Dubai, we are seeking for an experienced Senior Dairy Designer, to support us in servicing our external and internal customers. - Servicing mainly our local and regional customers
- Execution of customer related and internal tasks in close collaboration with colleagues in the group and across organization
- Designing, planning, executing and following up on projects, including lab, pilot plant trials and production trials at customers’ facilities
- Seeking and developing new application solutions for the dairy industry
- Proactively identify opportunities to align with trends and technologies within the region
- Visiting customers to develop the business
- Support customer visits to the creative centre
- Providing hands- on technical support and troubleshooting to the commercial team and directly to our customers
- Managing complex development projects and briefs
- Translate new wins from other regions in the category
- Training customers in product design and related processes
- Building a strong network with our key internal and external stakeholders
- Contributing to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
Project leadership and execution of category strategy:
- Strengthen IFF position within the dairy category
- Build IFF strength and position within the category and in the market
- Generate proactive presentations to demonstrate key flavor, ingredients and systems technologies
- Knowledge exchange with Creative Centres /Design Satellites
- Participation in our global knowledge sharing activities
- Contributing to the innovation process
- Participate, as necessary, in IFF training program
- Drive for results in the region, ensure a higher technical level is achieved
- Guidance Trainees or Students
Job Requirements
- Relevant educational background (bachelor or master’s degree in food and or Dairy technology, Food Engineering or related life sciences degree)
- The role requires 7+ years’ experience in industrial food, ingredient, or flavor industry
- 5+ years’ experience in the Dairy segment is required, with exposure to cross-functional teams
- A thorough understanding of value-added ingredients such as hydrocolloids, emulsifiers, protein & flavor will be a strong advantage
- Knowledge in analogue and process cheese is desired
- Comprehensive technical and hands on insights coupled with a good commercial sense
- A positive attitude combined with curious and creative mindset
- Fluency in both spoken and written English, fluency in French is a plus
- Ability to work well in a multicultural matrix environment, prioritize projects and multitask
- Establish effective client needs analysis
- Build trust and confidence with internal and external customers
- Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
- Looks toward the broadest possible view of an issue/challenge
- Strong interpersonal skills, team player and the ability to learn quickly
- Self-driven
- Strong presentation skills
- Willing to travel internationally through Middle East and Maghreb
- Preferred but not required: experience in Project Management and knowledge in Food Safety and Food Regulations
