We are seeking an accomplished Projects Design & Planning Manager to lead the design and planning of high-profile public infrastructure projects in the Northern Emirates. Working client-side, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams and manage the full design lifecycle for major developments, including roads, wastewater systems, landscaping, and waste management projects.
This is a senior leadership position that requires strong technical expertise, proven project management skills, and the ability to engage effectively with government authorities, consultants, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning of infrastructure projects from concept to approval stage.
• Ensure designs are sustainable, cost-effective, and compliant with local regulations.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, architects, and consultants.
• Approve technical deliverables including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Develop and maintain project schedules for design phases.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with local Municipality and other regulatory bodies for approvals.
• Oversee design budgets, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Present proposals and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (any discipline) - Master's preferred.
• Minimum 15 years' experience in infrastructure design and planning, ideally in the Middle East.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in English (Arabic an advantage).
