About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Design Manager - Sewage & Tunnels Systems

to lead the design and coordination of major underground and wastewater infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in sewerage and tunnel system design, with proven leadership experience in

PPP (Public-Private Partnership)

projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the design of sewage networks, deep tunnel systems, and related underground infrastructure. Oversee multidisciplinary design teams and ensure coordination across civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. Review and approve design deliverables, technical reports, specifications, and construction documentation. Ensure designs meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and PPP project constraints. Provide expert guidance on constructability, risk management, and value engineering. Coordinate with clients, contractors, authorities, and project stakeholders to ensure successful design delivery.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 15 years of experience

in the design of sewerage and tunnel systems.

Design team lead

(or equivalent role) on

at least two similar PPP projects

of comparable scope and complexity.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

or equivalent.

Professional qualification

(CEng, MICE, or equivalent) with

at least 10 years of post-professional-qualification experience

.

Preferred Skills & Attributes

Strong technical knowledge of deep tunnels, sewage networks, hydraulic modeling, and underground structures. Proven leadership, coordination, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple design packages and deliverables in parallel. Experience working in complex, multidisciplinary engineering environments.
