Overview Of The Role:

• The Automotive Design Manager (DM) is crucial in steering Al Futtaim's vision for automotive projects, ensuring the integration of innovative design concepts, sustainable practices, and brand consistency to enhance customer experiences and elevate automotive properties' profiles. The DM will manage the design process from start to finish, including creating project briefs, vetting consultants, conducting design reviews, and liaising with management. The role requires collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet design, financial, timeline, and brand standards, thereby driving automotive design excellence across the organization.

What You Will Do:
General

• Oversee the entire design process from inception to completion for automotive projects, ensuring integration of cutting-edge design concepts and sustainable practices.
• Formulate project briefs, shortlist consultants, assess proposals, and carry out design reviews.
• Provide regular status updates to management and ensure alignment with design, budgetary, and timeline requirements as well as brand standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage consultant relationships and enhance the customer experience.
• Lead architectural consultants and perform day-to-day monitoring to ensure design quality and adherence to project goals.
• Manage architectural presentations, coordinate with various consultants, and resolve design-related issues using visualization in 2D or 3D formats with a focus on architecture and interior design.
• Ensure all works comply with specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
• Follow architectural trends and advancements to incorporate into projects.
• Maintain records and prepare reports related to design review and delivery.
• Ensure projects stay within budget and are completed on time.
