Job description
Responsibility and accountability for design and technical detailing across all design stages through IFC delivery within allocated timeline as per contract.
- Working knowledge of Revit, BIM360, Sketchup, Microsoft office and Adobe InDesign.
- Must carry out design and constructability assessment, technical and QAQC reviews.
- Experience dealing with local authorities having jurisdiction on regulatory compliance aspects
- Prepare and review design reports and update project specifications as necessary.
- Identify multi-disciplinary scope gaps and inform Project Director / Commercial Team.
- Assist the Project Director in preparing and finalizing Design Management Plan and Project Execution Plan
- Prepare internal monthly progress reports.
- Arrange and lead internal coordination meetings.
- Manage internal resources based on project budget.
- Identify and manage design-associated risks, mitigation strategies, and/or escalation.
- Managing the stakeholders approvals of the design and samples based on contract deliverables.
- Provide technical support for the commercial team including attending contract meetings by presenting project dashboard and seeking advice as necessary by higher management.
- Manage design process efficiently using change request, risks, design to budget by protecting interest of the Company.
- Ensuring the design process is aligned with current legislation, international standards, and codes of practice.
- Liaise with statutory authorities and other relevant third parties.
- Manage internal & external tendering process based on procurement strategy.
- May be required to perform other task as deemed necessary as Design Manager.
