We are seeking a qualified and experienced

Design Manager

specializing in

high-end architectural and interior fit-out projects

. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing design processes from concept to completion within the GCC region, particularly in the

fit-out sector

(commercial, hospitality, retail, or luxury residential). This role requires immediate availability and willingness to relocate to

Saudi Arabia (KSA)

.

Key Responsibilities: Design & Technical Coordination:

Work under the direction of the Chief Architect to develop and manage architectural and interior design concepts. Review and coordinate all design documentation including drawings, material specifications, and BOQs related to fit-out works. Respond to RFIs and approve shop drawings exclusively related to architectural and interior elements. Ensure all designs are in line with client requirements, local regulations, and project objectives.

Material Approvals & Site Coordination:

Approve Material Submittals (MARs) for architectural and interior finishes. Assist in the selection and approval of all architectural finishes, joinery, furniture, and decorative elements. Coordinate and attend mock-up reviews and factory visits for quality and aesthetic validation. Conduct site inspections for architectural works; approve IRs and MIRs in line with shop drawing approvals.

Project Management & Stakeholder Interface:

Interface with clients, consultants, and contractors to resolve design issues during project execution. Lead snagging and de-snagging activities specific to architectural and interior scopes. Manage and distribute technical documents such as IRs/MIRs and issue CARs/NCRs when needed. Attend technical and coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting & Quality Assurance:

Maintain quality control over all design outputs and ensure design integrity throughout the project. Submit detailed weekly and monthly progress reports on design-related activities and milestones. Ensure final design compliance and participate in project handover and commissioning related to architectural scope.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field. Minimum of

10 years of hands-on experience in architectural and interior fit-out projects

in the GCC region. In-depth knowledge of fit-out construction processes, materials, and detailing. Strong experience with site supervision, design approvals, and project coordination for interiors and architectural works. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
