to lead our design department in delivering high-performance facade solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in aluminum and facade system engineering, along with proven leadership in managing the full design lifecycle--from concept through execution. This role requires strategic collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring innovation, quality, and timely delivery across projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Leadership & Management
Lead and oversee the facade design team across multiple projects.
Review, validate, and approve technical drawings, calculations, and design submissions.
Provide expert advice on system design, material selection, constructability, and performance.
2. Coordination & Collaboration
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth facade system integration.
Represent the design function in project meetings, addressing and resolving technical issues in line with client expectations.
Support the execution team by providing technical input during construction phases.
3. Technical Documentation
Supervise preparation of detailed shop drawings, fabrication details, and installation layouts.
Ensure all design deliverables comply with local building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Maintain design libraries, standardized documentation, and drawing templates.
4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Research and implement advanced facade systems, materials, and design methodologies.
Lead process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Stay updated on industry trends, digital design tools, and sustainable facade practices.
5. Team Development
Mentor and guide junior designers and drafting staff to build technical capacity.
Conduct design reviews, performance evaluations, and technical training sessions.
Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous professional growth.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
15-20 years' experience in aluminum and facade design, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Strong track record delivering complex/high-rise facade projects in the UAE or GCC.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or other 3D modeling/design software.
In-depth knowledge of structural behavior, thermal performance, waterproofing, and facade materials.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
