to lead our design department in delivering high-performance facade solutions. The successful candidate will bring extensive technical expertise in facade engineering and aluminum systems, combined with proven leadership experience managing the complete design lifecycle -- from concept through execution. This role requires strategic collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, a commitment to technical excellence, and the ability to drive innovation and efficiency in design delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Leadership & Management
Lead and oversee the facade design team across multiple ongoing projects.
Review, validate, and approve technical drawings, calculations, and design deliverables.
Provide expert guidance on system design, material selection, constructability, and performance.
2. Coordination & Collaboration
Liaise with architects, consultants, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of facade systems.
Represent the company in project design meetings and resolve technical issues in alignment with client expectations.
Support construction teams with technical design input during project execution.
3. Technical Documentation
Supervise the preparation of shop drawings, fabrication details, and installation layouts.
Ensure all design outputs comply with local building codes, international standards, and project specifications.
Maintain standardized design libraries, documentation, and templates for consistency and efficiency.
4. Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Research and implement innovative facade systems, materials, and methodologies.
Optimize design processes to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
Stay updated with industry trends, digital design tools, and sustainable facade technologies.
5. Team Development
Mentor and coach junior designers and drafting staff, enhancing their technical and professional growth.
Conduct regular design reviews, team evaluations, and training sessions.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage).
10-15 years of experience
in aluminum and facade system design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven track record in high-rise, commercial, or complex facade projects within the UAE or GCC.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, or other advanced 3D modeling/design software.
Strong technical knowledge of structural behavior, thermal performance, waterproofing, and facade material performance.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
