detail-oriented and innovative Design Manager - Aluminum & Facade
to lead our design department in delivering high-performance facade solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in facade and aluminum system engineering, combined with proven experience managing the complete design lifecycle -- from concept to execution. This role requires strategic collaboration with project stakeholders and a strong commitment to innovation, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Design Leadership & Management
Lead and oversee the facade design team across multiple ongoing projects.
Review, validate, and approve technical drawings, calculations, and design submissions.
Provide expert advice on system design, material selection, constructability, and performance criteria.

Coordination & Collaboration
Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of facade systems.
Participate in project design meetings and resolve technical issues in line with client and consultant expectations.
Support the project execution team with technical design input during construction stages.
3.
Technical Documentation
Supervise the preparation of detailed shop drawings, fabrication details, and installation layouts.
Ensure compliance of all design deliverables with local building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
Maintain standardized design documentation, technical libraries, and drawing templates.
4.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Research and implement innovative facade systems, materials, and design methodologies.
Lead initiatives to optimize design processes for greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Stay current with facade engineering trends, digital tools, and sustainable design practices.
5.
Team Development
Mentor and guide junior designers and drafting staff to enhance their technical capabilities.
Conduct regular design reviews, performance evaluations, and skill development sessions.
Promote a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in
Architecture
,
Civil Engineering
, or
Mechanical Engineering
(Master's degree is a plus).
10-15 years of experience
in aluminum and facade system design, with at least
3 years in a managerial or leadership role
.
Proven track record in high-rise, commercial, or complex facade projects within the UAE or GCC region.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
,
Revit
,
Rhino
, or other 3D design and modeling software.
Strong knowledge of structural behavior, thermal performance, waterproofing, and material performance in facade systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
