Job Purpose

The Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and finalizing Engineering designs and drawings based on survey data. The role involves close coordination with field survey teams, consultants, and clients to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of project requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and update design drawings, survey plans, and layouts using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software. Interpret and analyze raw survey data collected from Total Stations, GPS, 3D Scanners, and UAV/Drones. Convert survey data into accurate Engineering drawings, reports, and as-built documentation. Collaborate with surveyors, site Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure designs align with project specifications. Conduct quality checks on design outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with client/consultant requirements. Ensure all designs adhere to local authority regulations, Engineering standards, and company procedures. Provide Technical support to site and survey teams regarding design interpretations. Maintain documentation of designs, revisions, and approvals. Research and implement new design methods, software, and technologies to enhance productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Survey Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer in a Surveying/Engineering Consultancy environment. Strong knowledge of survey principles, mapping, and Geospatial data handling. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or related design software. Knowledge of GIS software will be an advantage.
