Greetings from DPL Group, One of our client a leading company into construction and other diversified business is on look for Design And Technical Manager to be based in RAK The Design and Technical Manager will be responsible for leading a team of designers, draftsman, QC, QS and Document Controller, with the objective of translating the Client\xe2\x80\x99s design intent into a working, cost efficient POD solution within the time schedule allocated by the Project. It is the sole responsibility of the Design and Technical Manager that all the technical drawings and documentation is provided to relevant departments to ensure that Production is meeting the contractual targets set by Projects. RESPONSIBILITES & DUTIES 1. Ensure that technical deliverables are issued to the client, reviewed, approved and issued to factory production all in in accordance with the agreed delivery plan to site. 2. Maintain work plan schedule, drawings logs with due dates, and make sure all milestones are met on time. Report on the progress of the schedule and present updated logs on a weekly basis to the President. 3. Coordinate between the client, the Design & Technical Department, Commercial Department & Procurement department to finalize and secure approvals on the design and materials used for POD manufacturing. 4. Engage in team & client meetings or workshops to resolve project issues, review the design, discuss its feasibility and find solutions. 5. Manage all the processes related to producing a final set of drawings to be used for POD manufacturing. (Shop Drawings, Manufacturing Drawings, Purchase Drawings) 6. Manage a QC team to make sure manufacturing is as per the design and meeting the specified quality standards. In addition to making sure the materials & design complies with authorities, client, developer and operator regulations & specifications. 7. Manage a QS team to prepare a BOM for procurement. 8. Record all important documents and correspondence related to design, to be available for claims. 9. Meet & coordinate with suppliers, fabricators & subcontractors to review proposals and negotiate prices. 10. Working with computer-aided design software to create blueprints and images. 11. Participate and work closely with project management team, to make sure Manufacturing drawings are provided to the factory on time to meet the delivery schedule. 12. Hands on experience in CAD drawings and detailing, 2D & 3D. 13. Keep the team motivated and make sure they are working at their optimum productivity level. 14. Prepare progress reports for the client and KPI\xe2\x80\x99s for the President. 15. Come up with innovations to make the manufacturing process easier and faster. JOB RELATED COMPETENCIES & SPECIFICATIONS Educational background & Experience: At least a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies or a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (B.S. Arch) or a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies (B.A. Arch). Knowledge , skill and competencies:

• Excellent communication skills. Arabic speaker will be a preference.
• Knowledge of civil and MEP Designs
• Knowledge of 3D Modelling and Photoshop will be an added advantage.
• Foster Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
• Lead: Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.
• Organize: Track details / data / activities

Experience

• 5-7 years in UAE
