: Deputy Principal & FS2 Class Teacher (Dual Role)
Location: British Orchard Nursery, Al Nahda Branch, Dubai
Reporting to: Nursery Principal
About the Role
British Orchard Nursery, a leading name in early childhood education, is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and nurturing professional for a unique dual-role position at our Al Nahda branch. This role is perfect for an experienced educator who is ready to step into leadership while maintaining a direct, hands-on connection with the children. You will split your time between teaching an FS2 class and supporting the nursery's administrative and pedagogical leadership, ensuring the highest standards of care, education, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
As a Deputy Principal:

• Support the Principal in the day-to-day management and smooth operation of the nursery.
• Assist with staff mentoring, orientation, and professional development.
• Help maintain compliance with all KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) and Dubai Municipality regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation, and quality assurance in line with the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Act as a key point of contact for parents, building strong, communicative, and trusting relationships.
• Support in planning events, managing resources, and upholding the nursery's policies and ethos.

As an FS2 Class Teacher:

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging, play-based learning experiences that meet the developmental needs of FS2 children (ages 4-5).
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth.
• Conduct ongoing observations and maintain detailed records of each child's progress, using tools like Learning Journeys.
• Prepare children for a smooth transition to Year 1 and formal schooling.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and fellow educators.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Essential Educational Qualification (One of the following):
• Bachelor's Degree in Education (Early Childhood or related field), OR
• CACHE Level 3 with an ongoing or completed CACHE Level 5 Diploma.
• Experience: Proven experience teaching in the FS1/FS2/Foundation Stage within a UAE nursery or primary school setting. Prior experience in a leadership or senior teacher role is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding and practical experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Skills & Attributes:

• A genuine, passionate, and child-centered approach to early years education.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with staff, parents, and children.
• Familiarity with KHDA inspection frameworks and requirements is preferred.
