JOB TITLE: Deputy Manager - Piping Layout
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Technical review group for technical integrity check of proposal / projects through Gate Reviews / Functional Reviews.
- Attending to Value Engineering Workshop and leading to successful implementation of Value Engineering points.
- Identifying project risk through Line of Sight and mitigation through Line of Sight closeout.
- Review of implementation of applicable Lesson Learnt throughout the project cycle.
- Focus on prompt response to Site query.
- To maintain good communication with team through collaborative approach.
- Exhibit strong leadership and soft skills to excel in work share environment.
- To focus on piping bulk delivery and piping prefabrication activity.
- To focus along with VEC on design development to meet or beat the proposal estimation.
- Engage Construction, Commissioning & Operation teams for their inputs & reviews early on projects.
- Work clearly as per the interface between Head Office & VEC.
- Focus on timely delivery of engineering and procurement and proactively engaged with subcontractor to identify gaps.
- Review Model at own desk regularly & ensure proper Model Review preparation w.r.t. Model Review. preparation control sheet & checklist prepared by VEC and maintained by Project Deputy Lead.
- Closely monitor all MCMS module rollout on Projects & implementation of all Design Optimisation initiatives on the Project. Monitor adherence to QMS.
- Review Start-up Job Notes & work process related Job Notes with Project Deputy Lead.
- Assist HOD in developing strategies for continuous improvement of knowledge base, cost consciousness, quality and safety in response to demands of EPC business.
- Provide feedback to HOD for the employee performance evaluations, establish performance criteria, identify employee strengths & weaknesses and recommend training & development requirements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 15 years related oil & gas/petrochemical experience preferable from a background in working for EPC/consultancy organizations.
- In depth Knowledge of International Codes & Standards with specific expertise is ASME B 31.3.
- In depth Knowledge of International Codes & Standards pertaining to Equipment Layout / Safety Distances for Equipment.
- Experience in Design & Execution of Non Metallic Piping Systems like GRE/HDPE.
- Experience in EPC of Oil & Gas Plants / Refinery / New Energy / Petrochemical / Mining Plant Design & Layout. Experience in Brown Field Execution / FEED Engineering / Vendor Packages / Layout Study / Statutory Requirements / EPC of Oil & Gas Plants / Refinery / New Energy / Petrochemical / Mining Plant Design & Layout / Iso Planning, Checking & Revision Control / Bulk Take-off & Quantity Control / Area Close out / Proposal Engineering / Offshore Piping.
- Basic Knowledge & Understanding of Stress Analysis of Piping systems.

- Office Tools (Proficient)
