Reporting to the Manager, Bus Systems, the Deputy Manager, Bus Systems, is responsible for the efficient and safe running of operations and has oversight of Driver Supervision, Load Zone Operations, Bus Staging, Traffic Marshalling, Crowd Management & Queuing, PAX loading and off loading, and administration of daily service rosters & run sheets. Qualifications
University Degree required/or equivalent years of experience
Fluent in English (fluent in Arabic a plus) Event Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive responsibilities and work-related experience, and any combination of education and training, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement
Previous involvement in planning and operating complex events
Assists in the management of the daily operations of the assigned bus system
Ensures that accurate data is provided to the relevant teams for the scheduling of buses for that assigned system
Ensures the appropriate operational requirements are enforced to meet the determined demand Primary Duties
Assists in the training and operational management of the staff assigned to bus systems
Works with external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to ensure the smooth running of the system operation
Administers daily staff rosters & run sheets
Deputize, as required, for the Manager, Bus Systems Knowledge and Skills Required
Experience in managing a large workforce team
Operations related training in transport and/or logistics
Knowledge of operational principles, techniques and procedures
Prepared to take accountability and make decisions
Detail oriented
Pragmatic and practical with a clear eye on solutions
Self-motivated and confident in leading a team
Hardworking and reliable
