Job Description

1. Utility Head is a senior management position that involves overseeing the provision of services to ensure department is operating in an efficient level that meets the expectations and needs of customers and clients. 2. Manages the department by developing departmental policies and procedures for assigned areas of responsibility, establishing priorities for scheduled Gas plants, distribution networks, mechanical and electrical services within the assigned area of responsibility, administering preventive maintenance programs for assigned facilities, inspecting facility and utility systems to determine repair or replacement needs within the assigned area of responsibility, and supervising the performance of emergency and routine maintenance on campus facilities in the area of responsibility. 3. Helps to maintain a safe campus environment by ensuring all Fire Protection Systems such as fire panels, smoke/heat detectors, sprinkler systems, and pumps are maintained in accordance with the applicable National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) standards and ensuring all emergency generators/power systems are properly maintained and operational at all times. 4. Develop and maintain strategies for operations and maintenance. 5. Helps to maintain an energy efficient campus environment by ensuring all energy management systems (including billing meters). 6. Assists the Assistant Utility Manager regarding the improvement of Company utility-related facilities by developing long range plans for upgrading systems within the area of responsibility and recommending replacement of equipment within the area of responsibility. 7. Assists the Administrative Coordinator in preparing specifications for contract services for utility-related maintenance and repair projects. 8. Ensures that all Supervisor / Engineers are provided appropriate direction, leadership, guidance, support, and training to enable the advancement of their knowledge and experience in the operations of the overall campus energy and related mechanical systems environment. 9. Ensures that the Gas Plants are operated within all International, Local regulations and guidelines for the proper production and distribution of high pressure gas and related equipment systems. 10. Ensures that contracted mechanical services in the area of responsibility met specified results by inspecting the work performed and directing corrective action as necessary. 11. Assists the Assistant Utility Manager in developing a technically qualified staff by hiring qualified applicants, training employees to standards, and supervising and evaluating the performance of assigned personnel. 12. Assists the Assistant Utility Manager in coordinating with the Planning, Design & Construction to provide effective review of contract documents prior to award, interface throughout the construction, commissioning & operation & maintenance phases to promote contract administration efficiency. 13. Contributes to the overall success of the Company by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 14. Incumbent should have very good exposure into Utility maintenance. 15. Initiate and lead Energy conservation projects. COMPETENCIES & SKILLS (TECHNICAL & BEHAVIORAL)

Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED20,000.00 - AED30,000.00 per month Application Question(s):

Experience:

• Oil and Gas: 10 years (Preferred)
• Utility Gas Operations: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• UAE Driving License (Preferred)
