Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Demi Chef de Partie to join our pastry section. The ideal candidate will support the Chef de Partie in preparing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring consistency and creativity that aligns with our Mediterranean concept. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Assist the Pastry Chef and Chef de Partie in daily preparation, production, and service of desserts and baked items. Ensure recipes, portioning, and presentation standards are followed consistently. Contribute creative ideas to the pastry menu while respecting the Mediterranean culinary theme. Monitor stock levels for pastry ingredients and report shortages in a timely manner. Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices at all times. Support in training and guiding Commis Chefs within the pastry section. Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating pastry ingredients and supplies. Ensure smooth service during peak hours by working efficiently and collaboratively with the team.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years' experience in pastry within a restaurant, hotel, or cafe (Mediterranean or fine dining experience preferred).

Knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert plating, and bakery fundamentals.

Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.

Ability to work in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment.

Positive attitude, creativity, and passion for pastry.

Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts/Pastry is an advantage.
