Join our culinary team as a Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry in the vibrant city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to assist in creating exquisite pastries and desserts that delight our guests and showcase the best of international culinary trends.
Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods
Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency and quality standards
Collaborate with the pastry team to develop new and innovative dessert concepts
Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
Assist in inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies
Train and mentor junior pastry staff members
Participate in menu planning and development meetings
Adapt recipes to accommodate various dietary restrictions and allergies
Contribute to the overall success of the pastry department by maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a professional kitchen
Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation
Proficiency in using various pastry equipment and tools
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and presentation
Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
Understanding of various dietary restrictions and food allergies
Familiarity with international pastry trends and techniques
Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on pastry arts is preferred
Current food safety certification
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
