Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry to join our culinary team. As a key member of our pastry department, you will assist in creating exquisite desserts and pastries that delight our guests and uphold our reputation for culinary excellence.
Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods
Follow recipes and instructions accurately to ensure consistent results
Complete mise en place efficiently before service periods
Contribute to the production of components for plated desserts
Operate pastry kitchen equipment safely and effectively
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene standards in the pastry section
Monitor ingredient freshness and implement proper stock rotation
Collaborate with team members in the pastry and kitchen departments
Contribute creative ideas for new menu items and seasonal desserts
Comply with food safety, hygiene, and allergen control procedures
Assist in training and mentoring junior pastry staff
Participate in menu planning and cost control initiatives
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen or high-end hotel environment
Culinary or pastry qualification from a recognized institution preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of classic and modern pastry techniques
Strong eye for detail and artistic presentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs)
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Passion for pastry arts and commitment to continuous learning
