Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs in preparing and cooking menu items according to approved recipes and standards
  • Ensure correct food handling, storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices at all times
  • Support smooth kitchen operations during service through effective teamwork
  • Participate in menu planning and development of new dishes when required
  • Organize and manage assigned kitchen station including mise en place and cleaning
  • Monitor inventory levels for the section and report requirements in a timely manner
  • Train and support junior kitchen staff as assigned
  • Comply with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
  • Support food cost control initiatives and reduce wastage
Ideal Profile
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
  • Valid food safety certification
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, methods, and international cuisines
  • Good knife skills and ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical stamina and flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Attention to detail with commitment to quality and consistency
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and recipe documentation
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage
