Key skills and qualifications of Ship Broker Oceanic Resources International is working with a large, global shipbroking business looking to hire an experienced Deep Sea Broker /Operator to join their regional team/ office in Dubai. The company have recently launched the CPP desk in Dubai and this would be a support function to work alongside the new CPP Charter Manager for this desk. The company have a well-established global client base & a large international office set up to support & facilitate growth. They have established CPP Desks in other global office locations, but this is a new desk for Dubai. You will work very closely with the CPP Manager to build up the desk and develop it across the region. We are looking for a Shipbroker but ideally, we would like to find somebody who has experience in deep sea operations too. The role would suit an experienced & ambitious broker who is looking to expand their network with no restrictions. Need someone who has good relationships/ network with shipowners so that he/ she can complement their managers strength on the Charterers side. Experience with clean/dirty/products/oil + Experience in chemical shipping operations advantageous. Having an entrepreneurial nature would be highly desirable along with a strong personal drive to succeed. Strong professional network in shipping industry Excellent deal negotiator and communicator with strong client management/relationship building skills. Involved in many stages of setting up and negotiating deals, including presenting the business to potential clients, negotiating the main terms of a contract or sale and seeing it through to its conclusion and any follow up that may be involved. Able to build up a database of contacts and keep a close eye on the shipping market, interpreting trends and seeing opportunities for clients. You would maintain records or tonnage within the company\xe2\x80\x99s database. Ability to negotiate is vital as this is a principal skill requirement in Ship Brokering. Good understanding of accounting and numeracy skills are essential to this job. Excellent presentation skills will be required. Must be able to communicate well in English both verbally as well as in a written format. Ability to use Microsoft office, ie Word, Excel. Salary Range would be around Aed 25K / month or so. Have some flexibility here . Job Types: Permanent, Full-time Salary: AED24,000.00 - AED26,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
