Overview of the role:

AFET is a leader in converged systems integration and provides complete business solutions to large, medium, and small customers that include networking solutions, IP telephony, infrastructure, contact centre solutions, business applications, ELV systems, professional audio-visual solutions and managed services. Data Network Engineer is required to provide support services to AFT\xe2\x80\x99s AMC customers and on-site.

What will you do:

Responsible for:

• Impart Post-sales technical support as per SLA signed with customers

• Implementation of Data Network and ICT solutions in co-ordination with customers, principals, service providers, and business partners to ensure implementation meets design parameters.
• Monitoring and maintaining enterprise level network hardware and applications at customer premises.
• Advanced Diagnostics and monitoring of Data Network Infrastructure Solutions.
• Monitoring network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Configuring and installing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS.
• Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Incident Management (Break/fix) activities including, but not limited to:

Determining best means to get system back up and running to original specifications.

Coordinating the repair/replacement of failed equipment.

• Maintain current working knowledge of relevant system technologies.
• Attending service requests, preventive maintenance health checks.
• Perform change management activities.
• Ensure the committed timelines are met for the projects at customer sites within the agreed scope, cost, and quality.
• Training to customers on system usage.
• Prioritizing workload to maximize productivity and minimize customer downtime.

Service Delivery

• Ensure Customer Satisfaction with 24x7 Support readiness.

Job Context:

This position operates within the context of Data Network, Infrastructure, Wi-Fi and Security Solutions. Job seeker must be trained and certified on various solutions of Alcatel Lucent Enterprise, CISCO, Fortinet, HP, or similar. Engineer will be part of the technical support team. Job seeker must have excellent hands-on experience to perform the job.

Required skills to be successful:

Technical Skills:

• Experienced and Certified in Cisco, Alcatel Lucent Data and Voice Networks.
• Experienced and certified in Alcatel Omni PCX Enterprise server configuration and installation.
• Expert in Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
• Extensive design, implementation, and post \xe2\x80\x93sales experience of UC solutions.
• Experience in commissioning and support services of Unified communication solutions along with data networking.
• Must have full solutions lifecycle experience including gathering requirements, design, test, documentation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Excellent incident, problem management and analytical skills.
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
• CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• University degree in Computer Science or a related subject

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

Bachelor of Engineering or similar in Electronics / Telecom / IT/ Computer Science.

Valid Post Sales Certifications.CCNP, CCIE or similar.

Minimum Experience:

• Must have minimum 5 years of experience in Data Network, routing/switching elements, Infrastructure, IP Telephony, Wi-Fi and Security and Firewall Solutions.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools

Onsite support and monitoring of customer networks.
