One of our clients requires a Data Governance Manager.
The role reports to the Director, and is an operational role which is accountable for overseeing the day-to-day management of data across all business and functional units.
Implement, and maintain the enterprise-wide data governance framework, policies, and procedures
Manage and oversee the creation, maintenance, and disposal of data
Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and enforce data quality standards, conducting regular audits and assessments
Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure they are met
Identify opportunities to streamline data processes and workflows for efficiency and accuracy, working with relevant teams to implement process improvements
Oversee the integration and migration of data across various platforms and systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
Resolve any escalations by Data Stewards for data quality issues, discrepancies, or inconsistencies in the data
Assist in creation and management of a comprehensive metadata repository, including data dictionaries and lineage information
Ensure that metadata is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders
Monitor and enforce data access and usage, in compliance with established policies, standards, and guidelines set by data governance
Communicate data governance principles and best practices across the organization
Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure they are met
Requirements
A post graduate information management or data governance qualification
Data Management or Governance Certification (DAMA/CDMP, CIMP, DGSP, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of in SAP (ECC & S4)
Operational familiarity of SharePoint (or other) MDM technology, ensuring smooth running of Master Data creation process
Experience in handling large data sets
Advanced excel
Own and manage report generation activities for the department
