We are looking for a Customs and Shipping Coordinator to join our team in
Dubai.
The Opportunity:
We're looking for a
Shipping and Customs Documentation Officer
to manage and coordinate all documentation for international shipments, ensuring compliance with Dubai Customs, Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) regulations, and Incoterms. You'll play a key role in supporting Ritchie Bros. auction operations by collaborating with internal teams, freight partners, and customs authorities to ensure smooth, timely, and compliant shipment processes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage shipping documentation
-- including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, and Certificates of Origin -- ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Oversee customs clearance processes
by preparing import/export declarations through Dubai Trade and JAFZA systems, ensuring adherence to current customs policies and timely resolution of any clearance issues.
Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and carriers
across sea, air, and land transport to monitor shipment progress and ensure on-time delivery.
Apply and advise on Incoterms 2020
to ensure correct allocation of responsibilities, costs, and risks across all trade transactions.
Support Ritchie Bros. auction operations
by managing pre- and post-sale documentation, customs clearances, and ownership transfer processes for equipment moving through Jebel Ali and across UAE borders.
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners
to provide timely updates, respond to inquiries, and ensure seamless coordination throughout the shipping cycle.
Contribute to process improvement
by identifying opportunities to streamline documentation and compliance procedures while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned.

We're looking for a
highly organized, detail-oriented professional
who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. You take ownership of your work, enjoy solving problems, and collaborate effectively with others to deliver accurate and timely results.
Native Arabic speaker with
excellent English communication skills
(written and spoken).
Bachelor's degree
in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience
in shipping, logistics, and customs documentation within the UAE.
Proven hands-on experience with
Dubai Customs procedures
and the
Dubai Trade Portal
.
Strong understanding of
Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA)
regulations and operational requirements.
Solid knowledge of
Incoterms 2020
and
freight forwarding processes
.
