YOUR TASKS:

All custom pre-alerts are declared to customs on time. Shipments cleared which requires regulatory approvals should be handed over to the respective supervisors for getting it endorsed by the inspection. Follow Gateway clearance procedures as outlined in the GSOP manual and ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements. Ensure proper record keeping is done and reports & files are updated timely and appropriately. Ensure timely customs clearance of material into the Gateway. Ensure the accurate and on time preparation of import and export Customs declarations Ensure that customer databases are maintained. Resolve specific disputes or provide advice on technical issues with customers. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Customs practices and procedures.

Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal style Excellent organizational skills, including ability to prioritize workload Ability to effectively contribute as a team member as part of a busy team Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, time sensitive environment Good understanding of DHL Network Sound knowledge of the country Customs code and practices Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word.
