Job Description

Job Purpose: Acquisition and management of CSG relationships for the Commercial Bank with the objective of revenue growth and good client management in line with the strategy of Citi Commercial Bank. The CSG Relationship Manager will be the Subsidiary Account Manager (SAM) for the assigned CSG relationships. Job Background / Context: Citi Commercial Bank caters to SME (Small & Medium Enterprise) and MME (Mid-Market Enterprise) segments. CSG Relationship Manager is responsible for new client origination and managing an existing base of local subsidiary clients. CSG Relationship Manager needs to be aware of country-specific capabilities, limitations, and KYC and lending regulations. S/he needs to be proficient in the product suite offered, working knowledge of Lending products, Trade, FX, and Cash Management as well as Approved Elsewhere Program (AEP) guidelines. This role requires excellent coordination with the overseas Parent Account Manager (PAM) on all matters related to Prospecting/Qualifying, Approving Unit Structuring, Approving Unit Underwriting/Approval, Extending Unit Due Diligence, Legal Documentation, Booking/Funding and managing the end-to-end CSG relationship. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of local subsidiary clients whose parent companies are part of the global CCB network
  • Work closely with the overseas PAMs to maximize cross-sell of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s products including loans, trade finance, cash management, treasury and investment products
  • Leverage on CCB global network to identify and build key country corridors for new client opportunities
  • Develop close relationships with Risk, Credit Analysis Unit, Operations, Product, TTS, FICC, Legal, Compliance and PAM to ensure delivery of quality products and services to customers

  • Manage the risk management and AML/KYC process for the designated customer portfolio and be accountable for the on-going monitoring of credit quality and compliance with bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies and AEP guidelines
  • Manage and acquire new subsidiary clients meeting the criterion for CSG relationships in Citi Commercial Banking.
  • Have a strong knowledge base of various banking products including Cash Management, Trade Services, Foreign exchange, and Credit.
  • Ability to independently identify opportunity with clients and to clearly articulate possible solutions
  • Accountable for assigned revenue, deposit, asset, service and TAT targets
  • Compile a weekly / monthly pipeline showing target clients, sales revenue, pipeline sales revenue, competitor information, percentage budget achieved year to date and client satisfaction/complaints, etc.
  • Prepare timely Extending Unit Due Diligence (EUDD) for new to bank and renewal relationships and discuss with Business/Risk/Credit Analysis Unit seniors on the case
  • Prepare Relationship Plans for key relationships in collaboration with the PAMs.
  • X-sell by partnering with product partners \xe2\x80\x93 Cash, Trade and Treasury products
  • Provide active feedback on emerging product needs of customers, competitive practices, and ideas on process/product improvement

Knowledge / Experience:
  • 6-8 years of Commercial/Corporate banking experience with at least 2 years of frontline sales experience.
