Job Description

The incumbent will work within the Middle East Consumer Risk Management team on all controls activities and mechanism aiming to implement a more robust framework that will strengthen internal control and compliance to local, regional and global policy. Responsibility will include recourse to automation, timely & accurate submission of control tests across Citi Risk platforms and implementing the most effective and efficient control checks which helps in early identification of process / policy breakages

Responsibilities:

• Actively engage in Controls automation activities to ensure that Consumer Risk has a robust and effective risk and control framework.
• Represent Consumer Risk Management in Country, Regional and Global control related projects across all phases (requirements, SIT, UAT and implementation). Coordinate timely submission of requirement as well as response to any inquiry arises during the project.
• Manage and execute the end to end controls adoption process cascaded from Region / Global.
• Proactively search for and propose enhancements to control related processes and developments.
• Quality Assurance framework / Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC): Conduct monthly, quarterly and semi-annual / annual tests across all products in scope such Cards, Loans, ALOP, Line Increases and MFOD and update results in Citi Risk systems. Conduct Root Cause analysis for any test rated below the minimum threshold.
• Ensure accurate, clear and detailed updates on controls systems in relation to all defects.
• Design and execute effective tests that will cover key operational risk and maintain a status of audit preparedness at all times.
• Ensure that all changes implemented across products have adequate controls in place and that validation is conducted in a timely manner to ensure adherence to policy.
• Ensure satisfactory rating with effective controls in Audits / Reviews.
• Monitor key Audit items raised for Credit, if any. Coordinate deliverables and ensure closure of Corrective Action plans, if any on time.
• Apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge to contribute to the development of innovative techniques and the improvement of processes to enhance data accuracy.
• Ensure alignment of test controls across the cluster through conducting periodic gap analysis and embed / amend changes accordingly.
• Manage the end to end Continuity of Business planning for the credit risk unit.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years' experience in credit operations or consumer risk with strong understanding of Sales, Credit policy and controls framework.
• Strong understanding of risk management and controls design.
• Ability to develop and perform analysis that addresses concerns and issues in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to manage self and projects effectively in a high pressure organization with multiple deadlines.
• Excellent ability to develop partnerships across multiple business and functional areas.
• Project management skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or higher
