Job Description

We are seeking a

Counter Sales Cum Accountant

for our

hardware, marine equipment, and oilfield trading company

in the UAE. The ideal candidate must have strong

counter sales experience

,

cash handling skills

, and

basic accounting/VAT knowledge

, with the ability to manage customers and financial entries efficiently.

Key ResponsibilitiesCounter Sales & Customer Service



Assisting walk-in customers with

product selection

related to hardware, marine supplies, and oilfield tools. Managing

counter sales operations

, including quotations, billing, and product guidance. Processing

sales invoices

, receipts, cash, card, and online payments. Handling

customer queries

, product availability checks, and after-sales support.

Sales & POS Operations



Operating

POS systems

for efficient billing. Ensuring accurate entry of

sales data

, discounts, VAT calculations, and stock movement. Preparing and organizing

daily sales reports

.

Cashier & Daily Cash Management



Managing daily

cash collection

, tallying cash/card transactions. Performing

cash reconciliation

at end of day. Ensuring proper handover of cash to accounts/management.

Basic Accounting & VAT Support



Recording all

sales revenue

with accuracy. Supporting

VAT accounting

, input/output VAT review, and invoice compliance. Performing basic

data entry

, accounts posting, and maintaining digital/physical records. Assisting in

bank reconciliation, payment follow-ups, and ledger updates

as needed.

Skills & Qualifications



Minimum

3+ years of experience

in

counter sales

, preferably in a hardware, marine, or oilfield trading environment. Strong

customer service skills

and product knowledge in

tools, marine equipment, and industrial supplies

. Proficient in

POS systems

, invoicing, and accounting software (Tally / QuickBooks / Zoho / ERP). Good understanding of

basic accounting principles

,

VAT rules in UAE

, and transaction posting. High

attention to detail

, numerical accuracy, and strong organizational skills. Ability to manage

cash

, maintain sales records, and support finance operations. Good communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
