We are seeking an organized and customer-focused Counter Clerk to join our dynamic laundry team. As a Counter Clerk, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer service while assisting customers with their laundry needs. You will ensure smooth operations at the front counter, manage customer transactions, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Receive and process laundry items from customers, ensuring correct identification and labelling.
Weigh laundry and provide pricing information.
Handle customer payments, including cash, card transactions, and digital payments.
Keep track of customers' laundry items and ensure they are processed in a timely manner.
Inform customers of expected pickup times and any special instructions for their laundry.
Answer customer questions regarding services, pricing, or laundry procedures.
Maintain an organized and tidy counter area, keeping laundry bags, order slips, and customer details in order.
Communicate with laundry staff to ensure smooth coordination of laundry orders.
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to management when needed.
Perform basic administrative tasks, such as filing and record keeping of customer orders.
Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards throughout the laundry area.
