Responsible for the preparation of the Project Budgets under directions from Company Management, following it up, issue the Management Cost Control Reports highlighting any deviations, and propose the corrective actions in coordination with other Divisions.
Prepares Project's budget broken down based on Work Breakdown Structures showing each cost elements (Labor, Materials, Subcontractor, and Equipment) and assigning cost codes covering Indirect and Direct Cost distribution.
Monitoring, forecasting, and reporting expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
Reporting problems or potential problems with corrective recommendations to the Planning & Cost Control Director.
Performing Cost Performance Analysis
Lead the Project Cost Control Unit in the preparation of terminal cost reports.
Review Subcontract Agreement! LPO's as issued for cost committed.
Provide support for Change Order Variations.
Provide assistance on EOT Claims preparation- cost section.
Maintaining controls records for the duration of the project for the later use.
Attend the required meeting.
Organize and assign the tasks to the Cost Control employee.
Providing on the job training and guidance for the Cost Control Employees.
Liaising with Management to Improve the Cost Control Procedure.
Provide interface to other functions and teams to improve processes, resolve conflicting priorities and ensure adherence to best project practices.
Maintain effective filing system in order to access documents on time such as agreement, log sheet, correspondence, calculations, budget etc.
Perform successfully in SAP implementation and development.
Performs any other similar duties assigned by the Planning & Cost Control Director.
Qualifications
University Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering., a Master's degree is preferred;
A PMP certification is an added value;
Fair understanding to the Project's Planning.
Has the capability to prepare, develop and analyse budgets;
Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills..
Has outstanding skills in project management, process improvement, budget tracking expenses, planning, performance management
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, proficiency in Arabic language is an additional skill
Min 10 years relevant experience working with Main Contractors.
