Job Purpose: Corporate Sales is part of HSBC Global Banking and Markets, responsible for serving corporate clients. Sales will primarily service the group\'s Strategic & Focus clients, addressing their needs through the provision of client relevant products, solutions, and deep market insight. This role requires strong client experience to develop long-lasting trusted relationships while improving product penetration and wallet share. The primary objective is to manage and develop the revenue and profitability of allocated client portfolios while delivering excellent service to address client needs. A constant drive to improve the cost of service delivery will also be a key focus and will require championing key initiatives, such as servicing more transactional needs via e-capability. Principle Responsibilities:
  • Continue to deliver the strategy for Corporate Sales with the primary objective of managing and develop the revenue and profitability while ensuring its broader alignment with the overall strategy.
  • Taking ownership for the strategy to drive the productivity initiative by leveraging the commercialization of digital tools, reviewing process efficiencies, etc.
  • Identify sales opportunities that address specific needs for clients and manage from identification to point of sale and through the post-trade process.
  • Service a portfolio of Strategic and/or Focus clients, including Transactional clients where required.
  • Provide day-to-day sales coverage using the full suite of Corporate Sales offerings and support team members to do the same.
  • Deliver services and solutions that meet client needs and, where necessary, leverage the bank\'s depth of product expertise and Thought Leadership.
  • Collaborate with other internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers, Global Liquidity & Cash Management (GLCM), and Global Trade and Receivables Finance (GTRF), to service client needs and improve the share of wallet.
  • Drive efficiency and profitability by championing the adoption and use of relevant service offerings to meet client needs.
  • Manage changes to processes as technology platforms evolve.
  • Work through Corporate Sales to ensure all Global Service Centre outsourced activities are executed in line with the agreed SLAs and requirements for servicing clients.
  • Identify and originate cross-sell opportunities (cross-border, Corporate Sales / CRS, and cross-selling the Bank).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Set direction and leadership for reporting sales staff and be accountable for their management, including conduct and Global Standards.
  • Supervise activities of staff to mitigate the risks of inappropriate trading, unauthorized activity, financial crime, and inappropriate market conduct.
  • Comply with the Front Office Supervision Control Policy and vigilant operation of Front Office supervisory tasks.
  • Build an enthusiastic and motivated team that demonstrates HSBC Group values and principles.
  • Provide leadership, support, guidance, and training to all team members.
  • Conduct regular performance management appraisals with all team members.
  • Be involved in strategic discussions with the senior management teams.
