Job Purpose: To drive the development of science through innovative curriculum opportunities which enable an outstanding, holistic, and dynamic experience for our students and lead to exceptionally high outcomes.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Drive the review and development of the science curriculum based on internal and externally validated data and cohort needs, ensuring skills progression is rigorously mapped for all areas of the curriculum.
• Ensure the curriculum enables students to clearly demonstrate their knowledge and working scientifically skills within the expected standard before building to greater depth.
• Further develop the use of the science lab and resources, supporting high-quality investigations, experiments and STEAM experiences.
• Work in partnership with other leaders, contributing significantly to the MER documentation for each year group with a specific focus on outstanding science teaching, the quality of planning against the curriculum standard and the evidence of progress in books, in line with our HPL philosophy.
