We are looking to appoint an outstanding Lead Practitioner in Science to join the College. The Sciences comprise the largest examined offering within our College; with 15 groups across the entire A Level cohort, this is a fantastic opportunity to teach Science to an advanced level. We offer both the Triple and Combined awards at GCSE, with all students from 2022 commencing the Triple pathway from Year 9. Behaviour in the College is \xe2\x80\x98outstanding\xe2\x80\x99 and the positive relationships between student and teacher, alongside the highly motivated students means that teachers can focus on teaching their passion.
The successful candidate will work in an exceptional department. In 2022 the results were outstanding. 83% of GCSE Triple Science grades were at 9-8. 100% of GCSE Triple Science grades were at 9-6. A Level Biology students achieved 54% A*-A, and 85% A*-B. A Level Chemistry students achieved 52% A*-A, and 85% A*-B. A Level Physics students achieved 61% A*-A, and 84% A*-B.
The opportunities which the Sciences present for students is central to the philosophy of the school. As a result, this appointment is crucial to the continued development of Jumeirah College.
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

• A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
• At least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of the National Curriculum for England.
• Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level in one or more of the Sciences.
• We are seeking to appoint talented, highly motivated and well-qualified individuals. You should have a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• A mindset which understands all students have the potential for top performance, and the drive and passion to enable them to do so.
• Experience which will enable a contribution to our enriched curriculum programme.
• Experience as a Lead Practitioner is preferred but not required.
